  • Upgrading an upgrade?

Last year I upgraded my stock, series 2 80GB drive to a WD 320GB drive using MFS tools (I believe). I have of late been getting the stuttering behaviour indicative of imminent drive failure.

Would there be any issues with cloning my 320 drive to a new 320 (or larger) drive or will I need to re-duplicate my original 80GB drive?

The only risk is that you could be copying corruption in the software from one drive to the next. But if you want to try it, I'd go ahead. You'll always have the option of starting again from your back-up 80. (But larger won't work if you're starting from the 320 because you've already allocated the two available drive partitions on the original 320, preventing you from expanding further.)
