Hardware Comparison

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Tivo Series 3 Value Unit and the Home Theater Unit. We are building a new house and I need three new units and I can't see why I should buy the Home Theater unit.

I saw the chart but being a novice at TIVO I don't really understand the differences. It appears that the cable cards are in the back rather then the front. Do I care? Is it an appearance thing? It has one more composite video output? I only plan to use the HDMI anyway. It has a different remote and some of the cables are included. Does it function any better? Is it better for future upgrades? I guess I just don't see that big a difference for the price difference. Am I missing something?

You've basically got it right - the differences don't mean a lot to most users. If you want a feature that only the more expensive unit has, you likely know it already. We generally recommend the "value" option.
