Comcast Quallity vs. Direct TV

I am seriously considering leaving Direct TV/TiVo for Comcast/TiVo Series 3 because I want HD service with TiVo and can't get HD via antenna but I am affraid that I am going to be unhappy with the Comcast Digital SD signal. Will the Comcast Digital SD be as good as the DTV signal?

Most of our customers find it to be about the same. And the HD should be better.

Frankly, the HD is so good, the rest of it looks just so much worse by comparison.
