"make tivo bootable" instructions

Linux challenged needs instructions for using "make tivo bootable". The link, http://www.upl.cs.wisc.edu/~will/tivo/ provides no help or readme. I have the mtb file on floppy and have booted using the weaknees CD and have the weaknees prompt. What next?

Sorry to say, we haven't used that in years.

Anyone out there remember how to get this to work?

I found it referenced in Weaknees Interactive instructions. What are you using now?

We just never boot our drives into Windows. Our PCs for use with TiVo drives only run Linux.
