I used the Weaknees upgrade kit to replace my DirecTv TIVO Hard drive last July.
The system is now malfunctioning again (resets, picture problems, etc.)
Is it worth buying another replacement drive or is there something else with the box?

We strongly recommend a UPS:

(UPS for TiVo)
It is also possible that your TiVo is killing drives, either because of an internal short or because of an issue with the dish (eg. poor/nonexistent grounding).
It is naturally a personal choice whether you replace the drive again, but that is certainly less expensive than replacing the unit, unless you abandon TiVo and get DIRECTV's own non-TiVo DVR.
