Hello, Had my swm-8 installed and working fine. However, now that we are in the summer rain season, we often get power outages.

I am not able to get signal when the power comes back.

I have been instructed to "reset" the swm power with all my receivers off...then 1 by 1 resetting each receiver by unplugging the power cord and then plugging it back in.

This however does not always work.

I am now without signal.

Additionally, I just bought a retail hd receiver and was intructed to add the B band converter inline with the hd receiver. Conflicting with the swm instructions.

So I am looking for a solution to this "power outage" problem.

You do NOT use b-bands with the SWM, no exceptions.

Are you sure your problem isn't dish related? Sounds like you might have an issue with a weak signal. Or do you have particularly long (>200ft) runs?
