Tivo Series3 & RCA DRC 6080N

I just purchased the RCA DCR 6080N DVD recorder to hook up to my Tivo Series3. My HD tv contains one HDMI port. Can anyone help me with advice on the best method of hooking up these three components for the best results. I have tried 3 or 4 different set ups but none accomplishes all

You'll want to use S-video and Red/White audio from the Series3 to the DVD Recorder. Then, if your TV has two HDMI inputs, use one from the TiVo and one from the DVD to go to the TV.

Thanks for the quick reply, I am sorry to say I need even more basic info. namely should I connect the incoming cable to the series3 or dvd recorder and where from there, my hdtv only has one hdmi

The incoming cable from the cable company? That should go to the TiVo, or it can be split and go to both. If the TV has only one HDMI, then that should be used with the TiVo. Use the S-video on the TV with the DVD unit.
