"Keep Until" defaults to 2 days

I have a DirecTV HR 10-250 TIVO HD DVR that I purchased earlier this year and have a question concerning recording options – in particular the “Keep Until” setting. Whenever I select a program to record from the program guide, my default “Keep Until” setting is always 2 days. The only way I can change this value is to go into the options menu and change it to “Until I delete”. Is there any way I can change the default setting from “2 Days” to “Until I delete”? The manual say the default setting should be “Space needed”, but my default is only 2 days. The manual does not seem to mention how to permanently change this setting. I currently have around 6 hours of HD content on the unit and maybe 30 hours of SD content and since I have twin 250 Gbyte drives, this unit is far from being full. Any way to change this setting?
