Tivo DVD to iPod Video

Does anyone know how to transfer a video from a TiVo-recorded DVD (a DVD burned by a TiVo DVR) to a format that can be placed in the iTunes library and played on the iPod?

Is it still on your TiVo? If so, you can do it over the network pretty easily . . .

I've never quite figured out how to do the network thing (yes, I'm kind of a techno-idiot). I use the network to download the schedule, but for that I just have a small device plugged into the back of the TiVo unit that I think can only receive data from my server. Wouldn't I need a different type of game adapter or something to transfer information back to my computer? Thanks for your patience with me.
