I ordered a 160gb weaKnees replacement drive for my SVR-2000. Instead, I received a 250gb drive (thank you). Before installing it, I put it in a pc running mfstools and backed it up. I installed it in the SVR-2000 and it booted up fine and took me through the whole guided set-up. When it finished I checked the capacity and it shows as 45 hours, 7 min Best Quality and 163 hours, 57 min Basic Quality. Is that correct?

Yup - the most that unit can see is 137 GB of the drive, so 164 at Basic is about right.

Would a second drive give me more?

Yes - double (or technically about 344). But you'd need to send us that drive for us to attach a second drive to it. The "add" kits can only automatically attach to the factory drive, and not a replacement A drive.
