Direct TV HD Recorders, Series 3

Hello all,

I am new here, but not to weaknees, which did a nice fefurb to my Hughes 1-250 a couple of years ago.

Joined specifically to ask that question - are there any rumors about an equipment release that will offer (a) DirectTV capability (b) Series 3 features, and (c) HD recording?

I am sure the AVS guys know, but this seems like an easier post.

Sorry to say, no rumors. The only hope is that now that News Corp./Rupert Murdoch are largely disappearing from the picture, so that means there may not be a reason for NDS (the maker of their current DVR software and a company part-owned by Rupert) to develop more products. Hopefully Liberty (the company getting News Corps' share) would consider opening the door back to TiVo, but even so, this seems a long way off.
