Programming a Tivo Remote to work AKAI tv

I have an AKAI 50" plasma tv pdp5016h and a Toshibo tivo SD-H400. I have tried to program the tivo remote to control the tv but nothing seems to work. I've used Akai codes, samsung codes so far nothing. Is it even possible?

It is very possible that the SD-H400 remote is not compatible with your new TV. You'd probably have to get a universal remote to work with the TiVo and the TV. Here's one:

Thanks for the info. I may try that. Won't I still have to have the code for the Akai?

Yes, but for the universal, which can learn any code. Your Toshiba remote has what it has, and it can't be changed.
