programability of S3 remote

Is the new S3 remote capable of "learning" something like a single command from a component switching device I use (Key Digital) and assigning it to an arbitrary key?

In other words, can go slightly outside the box with regard to programming the S3 remote?

Anyone tried this?

I can't say that I've personally done it, but that's the claim. It's a learning remote.

I don't think you can assign a learned command to an arbitrary key. Just to a few keys reserved for tv use (e.g. the input, volume and mute keys).
