Now that Hitachi has announced that its terabyte hard drive will ship this quarter will Weaknees offer this as an optional upgrade for the S3 in the spring?

Hitachi drives have a good history of causing problems with TiVos, so we'd need to do a fair amount of testing to make sure they're stable, quiet, etc. But we do always try to offer the largest stable upgrades available.
More info when the drive is shipping.

Thanks Michael, I also read that Seagate has also announced a 1 Terabyte hard drive for shipment in the first half of '07. Perhaps Weaknees can test them as well.

Right - still just trickling those out as the drives become available . . .
