Upgrade Attempt DVR #2

As noted before I went ahead and bought drive upgrades for my other DVR's. (RCA DVR-40's). When I attempted to boot the DVR after installing the drive, the fan spins and the REC/ Power lights VERY briefly flash and then nothing. Fan keeps going but nother comes on the screen. Troubleshooting guides suggests power supply (even though it seemed fine before I put the drive in). I am just looking for some feedback on that diagnosis before I spend more money, and before I remotely attempt DVR #3 (I'm 0 for 2 so far).

Yup - sounds like a power supply.

If it worked fine before, have you tried using the old drive again? Could the white cable that links the power supply and the motherboard have become disconnected?

I tried the old drive with the same results and I did check the power cable and reset them. I guess I'll buy a new PS.
