HD Directv upgrade path....

Hello,

Here is sit with my 1997 Sony Directv Receiver (SAT-A1) hooked up to my series 2 tivo.

Now..I want to go to HD and would like to stay with Directv - am I really stuck with the Directv DVR?

Should I give in to the evil empire and get comcast cable?

What route to you folks recommend?

I do NOT have to make a move now, in fact i would rather wait and do the right thing than do something NOW and have it be the wrong thing.

Opinions are appreciated.

We do have some refurbished HR10-250s at the moment, but they're pretty expensive. The TiVo Series3 is a really, really nice unit and if you can move to cable, you'll be pretty happy with the Series3.
