Installing sigle drive?

Hello and thank you for such a great product! I'm new to this computer language stuff so if my question sounds like I'm a NewB (I am). I have backed up my old Tivo software to my computer drive C: Win95. I only have 1 slave connection available so I shut down removed my old drive and installed my new drive. What are the correct letters to use to copy the backup onto my new drive?

mfsbackup -Tao - /dev/hdX | mfsrestore -s 127 -r 4 -xzpi - /dev/hdb

or am I doing it wrong?

I have fixed my issue. I purchased a control cable with a master / slave and connected the old and new drive. The copy worked as described.
