Lifetime TiVo

Well, here I am with a lifetime subscription and super souped up TiVo, but because I have TiVo through direct TV, I don't use my TiVo any longer.
Can I just give someone my TiVo and let them use the lifetime subscription?
Is there any restriction on that?

Not at all - you can give the unit away and the lifetime subscription goes with it. If you want it to be official, call TiVo at 877 FOR-TIVO and have them change the name on the account to the name of your friend.
