Lifetime service for Humax TiVos

If you by a Humax TiVo (http://www.weaknees.com/dvd-tivo.php) from us, it can still get lifetime service for $299. But the phone reps at TiVo aren't always aware of this, especially because Humax TiVos from there are NOT allowed to get lifetime service.

Also, be sure to let the reps know that you have a TiVo with a service number starting with 595; that should help.

And remember that the lifetime on Humax units CAN be transferred to Series3 units for a limited time ('til 12/31/06) for $199...so if you really want lifetime on a S3 and don't currently have a lifetime box, this is one way to make it happen.
