  • sony directv sat t-60 upgrade problem

i followed the directions to add an additional hard drive. i added the 120 hour drive.
the first time i booted up the tivo, it only saw the new drive.
i changed the jumper settings to set the old drive as master and the new one as slave. then i only see the old drive.
any other settings, and i only see the new drive.
i was told by my brother that i had to hook everything up to my computer to mount the drives together. this was not included in the original directions, nor the one i printed off the website. i was able to locate those instructions to download an iso boot file for a cd. the link was bad. it went to some tiger site.
    this is the bad link

so, help. i am ready to toss the whole thing out the window and go back to a vcr. any help would be appreciated.

Via what directions? You need to format the drives with this info:

i followed the instructions, mounted the drives, and now i get stuck on the "welcome powering up" screen.
          everything worked yesterday.
          any ideas?
          thank you for your help.

I can only assume that you did something wrong in the upgrade process. You might also want to test your drives. If they test fine, then you might consider sending them in to have them programmed, see:
