Just ordered a replacement drive to a HR10-250

The factory drive has been starting to do the death march: constant hesitations, etc. And it does it more with HD shows.

I have an older Directv unit that I had to replace the drive when it totally crashed and died; but this drive is still limping alone. What would happen if I installed the new drive as primary and moved the old drive to the second slot? Would the old programs still be available? Would there be any conflicts, etc?

Your TiVo would not see the existing 250gb drive (either the space or the programs).
