weaknees_lba_boot_cd.iso boots but reboots loading the Linux Kernel

I do this so seldom - need a little help.

I've got the CD burned but in my (don't laugh) AMD K6-III 400, the
Linux kernel starts to load and then just reboots.

Any thoughts?

Sorry to say, it must be an incompatibility with your motherboard. Can you get on a different PC?

Well, I used another machine and that worked fine.

Hardware seems so generic these days - but really isn't.
