move upgraded hd from 1 s3 to another?

i had to send back my s3 to tivo for a new one. i had an upgraded 500gb hd in that one and removed it. can i just put it in the new box when it arrives? or do i need to restore it from the image of the orig drive of the new box?

You can just install it, but you'll need to re-serialize it to the new motherboard. For that, you need to a "clear and delete everything" once the drive is in the new unit.
