Stand alone Series 2 DT with FIOS?

Does anyone know if the stand alone Series 2 dual tuner TiVo will work with Verizon's FIOS service? I've read conflicting accounts on other forums as to whether the standalone S2 DT will work with FIOS.

I am not an HD user as yet, so whether it works in HD is immaterial to me at this time.

It will work with FIOS, but you'll need a FIOS set top box. The DT will then control that. It will only record one channel at a time.

Looks like I'll be sticking with the same old cable company, as I've grown accustomed to recording dual channels.

If you ever decide to go HD, you can get the Series3 HD TiVo that can do dual-channel recording with FIOS since it uses CableCARDs.
