Still "powering up" after new drive in Hughes HD-DVR40

Help,
Got the new drive - installed it - Tivo's just sitting at "Powering Up"....
Going on 4 hours now...
Sounds like a problem.

It's a Hughes SD-DVR40

I don't have a hughs but I got the same problem with an upgrade I got for my TIVO. It turned out to be the drive hinsdale sent me was jumpered to MASTER, it should have been slave.

Maybe this will help.

Turned out the IDE drive cable wasn't securely plugged into the drive.
We reseated it and the power-cable and away we went.
15 minutes later we were back working.
Thanks for the tip on the bad jumper.
