SWM8 Very Hot

I have a newly installed SWM8 that is too hot to touch for more than 1/2 second. I replaced the unit, but the new one is just about as hot. I have 1 SMW and 1 legacy (TiVo SAT-T60) receiver connected. When I connected the SWM8 to the power supply directly with no inputs or outputs, it only got warm.

Is this normal? It's frightening to have a box this hot in the attic.

Yes, they get pretty warm.

wow .... how cool is your attic .... usually the attic heat contributes to the sw heat
