something you might do is try to determine the sat that...

i have never used the asl or the accutrac to point a hd dish ... but first be certain that the pole is plumb & that all settings are correct ... all you need then is to get the 101 on dead center...

yes it can be done ... probably using a swm 16 or 2 or a swm 32 ..pending the size of your apartments . min 2 tuners per unit will fill a swm 16... of course not everyone will like dtv either... but...

i think you should get the 101 even if the skew is not correct... but to get the other sats you need it set....your settings are very critical on this dish.....

it sounds like you got it hooked up...

i dont think that you hurt anything... but it is said that the recvr would not allow you to set the lnb if still hooked up to recvr... just disconnect them & repoint...


you need to verify...

i think it would be best to use a pi21...

is the light "on" on the pi & is it steady or blinking ...
also ... get a meter & test the output ...


the only thing i can think that would burn...

reset the recvr & redo the sat setting to 18 in round dish

first thing ... be sure to have the 95 on flex port 1 .... also check the transponders on the 103 & see that they are all above 88... lyngsat shows l & r polarities on the 95 ...so not sure about it...

well ... i think that your best bet would be to get a swm 16......or if you cant get the wiring from both the locations to a central point ... get a second dish ....... if you go swm 16... you will...

you know ... you might need to check & see if that single tuner stays as a single tuner after power loss...... i guess there is no way to get the dish closer to the middle of the system ....

i know that you can diplex a swm 8 ... but i have never tried straight off a swm lnb ... have you seen this or done it ... i really dont see why it wouldnt work ...esp if im not using the powered...

you do know that a dvr is 2 tuners...

we are not talking about the # of recvrs ... but the # of tuners on each switch....

you can not have more than 4...

reboot recvr & as soon as the screen comes up start pressing menu....continue pressing till it goes there........it might also need a software update ... you might let it set for a up to 15 mins or...

yes you need the PI unit .. it is a 21 v power supply .. it powers the lnb ...

move the pi to the rec ... put ird line to recvr & then the swm out to the lnb ...leave the 1x8 out of line...

no ... im pretty sure not ... not all sats are at those ports....but you can split the signal to each & get 24 ports or tuners... ... but the deca wont work from switch to switch

that splitter should be a swm splitter marked 2 - 2150 mhz.... you should have a marking on it that says to swm... or lnb & the other 2 should be .... one power passing & the other to the recvr with...

i dont think any hd channels come off the 101... however you may get some locals on the 101 sd it looks like some locals come from the 101 on both phoenix & san diego.. these were sd though ... may...

one other thing ... are all sats lost or just some channels... usually the hd will leave first if it is a pointing issue ...also verify voltage at the lnb...that will test wiring & pi

what about too high gain.... but i thought that the swm 8 had a auto gain control on it ....maybe lines too short .....??????????????????

it sounds like you may be loosing a sat ... did you see a different channel # come up or did you see just different program....



i have seen before that if i lost the sat b ...119 for my locals...
