New capacity isn't there

I just finished installing the Twinbreeze bracket and kit (purchased from WeaKnees) in our Philips DSR708. I installed a new Maxtor 500GB ATA/100 drive as the slave. Upon turning the unit back on, everything appears to work great but the capacity still only shows 67 hours of recording capability. Is the new drive working? Is there a problem? Did I miss something? I could use some help! Thanks

Blank drives do not work in TiVos. Is that what you're trying to do?

Well it has been awhile since I attempted to complete my project. I was able to follow the instructions and still I do not have the extra capacity in my unit. Now I also did not use the jumper on the new drive? Is that were I’m going wrong? Could use some help. Thanks.

How many hours did the Linux tools report?

I think Michael was asking how many hours were reported on your PC when you ran the Linux-based tools. This will tell us whether you ran the tools properly.
