Several Series 2 directivo's locking up

Let me add to the weird things that are now happening. Just today my remote appears to have stopped working. I can use the buttons on the unit itself with no problems but it's not responding to my remote. I'll check later to see that my remote is still setup correctly to talk to that unit. This weird action started started after my unit went into an 'Indexing' routine. That is twice now I've seen something go wrong after 'Indexing'.

Maybe you had a "power event" at your place, that hurt the drives?

Those OS versions are the latest and greatest, and don't seem to have the rebooting problems experienced in 6.3e.
