  • Differences in the MFSTools iso's

What is the difference between the Weaknees version of MFSTool 2.0, which can be found here:

    http://www.weaknees.com/weaknees_lba_boot_cd.iso

and the original MFSTool 2.0, which can be found here:

    http://mfstools.sourceforge.net/

I can tell from the Interactive TiVo Upgrade Instructions that the Weaknees iso provides "Large Kernel Support", but what is that? Under what circumstance would I use one and not the other?

    Thanks,
    Michael

We really don't have a detailed comparison; we include a number of tools on our CD that the original does not have.

So the Weaknees iso of MFSTools just includes the original MFSTools + additional tools? I thought that the Weaknees version may have been recompiled or modified.

Specifically, have the programs "mfsbackup" and "mfsrestore" been recompiled or modified from their original versions?

      Thanks,
      Michael
