We love TiVO and two Samsung units. Our town now has access to Verizon FiOS tv so we added it to our other FiOS services. Before ordering the tv service we did ask if we could use our Samsung TiVO units with it and were told YES.
The installation tech told us no as they have built in receivers. He says the Customer Service must have assumed we had stand alone units. Now we're faced with renting two of the new Motorola for Verizon units and are most unhappy.
Is there a way to deactivate the receivers on our Samsung TiVO's? Are units are :SIR S4080R, and SIR S4120R.
