transferring to a new drive (same size)

Thanks... Many variable... like I mentioned, your an expert.

So, I think the viable solution for me is to back up my A drives, and restore them to a dual drive solution.
Is it wise to mix drive mfgs? (western digital, maxtor, seagate?)
Is it wise to mix IDE / SATA (with the adaptor you guys carry)?

Mixing manufacturers and drive types should not be a problem, but we continue to strongly recommend DVR-specific drives.
