  • mfstool copying from old drive to new question

My PC has only two ports for SATA cables. One is currently used for my normal WinXP drive. (my DVD drive is IDE) With the mfstool boot CD, do I need to keep the Windows drive installed? Or can I use the two SATA ports for the old and new Tivo drives?

If you don't plan to back up your drive, then you don't need a drive other than your TiVo drives and the CD.
