  • Roku Gamecenter Live

Is it possible to connect a Roku stick to a Tivo and record a game from NHL Gamecenter Live? Point is that we sometimes want to start the game quite soon after it is complete and not wait for Gamecenter Live to load the full version of the game online. We have seen this take up to 2 days. Also, the pause, rewind and fast forward features on Roku leave a lot to be desired. Tivo allows us to see the fastforwarded action as we move past it. With Roku, we have to guess how far we've gone and more often than not, we get it wrong and miss play time.

You could potentially make this work, but only in Standard Definition with a Series1 or Series2 TiVo. HD TiVos can't record an HDMI stream.

For the SD TiVos, you'd need one of these converters:

However, if the new Tivo Bolt has streaming capabilities, and if NHL GameCenter Live is available on the Bolt, can Tivo record directly from the app without the need for the Roku stick?

The TiVo can't record any internet streaming signals - it can only stream them. It can only record antenna or cable broadcasts.
