    I'm a newbie on the forum hoping to get some direction. This issue may have been addressed elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. Please bear with. We are about to set up a Roamio OTA and want to add a feature that enables us to mute the tv itself but listen to broadcasts using Bluetooth headphones or ear buds. (That way some family members wouldn't have to be bothered by espn, etc on weekends and others could watch broadcasts in peace after bedtime). We noticed the Dish Hopper answered this need with a Bluetooth audio feature. We also noticed the Roamio has USB and optical audio ports and wonder whether any of these might support a (third party external) Bluetooth audio transmitter, and - if not - whether there may be other viable solutions? Thanks.

    Usually, the way I've seen that done is through the TV. You can plug a bluetooth adapter into the TV's headphone jack, and then tell the TV to send audio out through the headphone jack only. Here's an example:
