Default Hr 24

If you have several HR 24's networked together how is the data stored? Is it duplicated on each HD or does it reside on the machine where the recording originated? I am thinking about this is regards to HD capacity and if having several 500gb units in any ways expands your overall recording capacity .

im not sure about this ... but i think if you call up a certain recorder then that would be the recorder that stores if you tell it to record...

The data always resides on the original unit where it was recorded.

When viewed on other units (DVRs or receivers) the data is only streamed, not stored.

So if you originate recording from different units you are effectivly expanding your capacity?

Yes, you could look at it that way.
