A couple of days ago, I noticed that my TiVo Bolt guide data had stopped updating after years with no issues. When I tested the internet connection from the Bolt, I got a "Network Connection Unsuccessful," and the TP Port Test and DNS Test both failed. I tried rebooting the cable modem, router, and TiVo in that order (nore than once), but no success. I ran a new Ethernet cable from another room, still nada. Switched to WiFi, same issue.

Further digging demonstrated that the TiVo Minis (also connected via Ethernet) are able to talk to the Bolt normally, setting up and playing recordings and everything else. They connect to the TiVo mothership without any issue. Their TCP Port and DNS tests pass. Also, I can make a direct https connection to the TiVo Bolt. Kmttg and pyTivo both connect to the Bolt. Connect to TiVo itself from any browser also works fine.

The bottom line, as far as I can tell, is that the connection and hardware are operating normally. The Bolt can do everything except talk to TiVo's servers.

My best guess is that something specific to the Bolt's outbound TiVo service client is corrupted, but...that's just a guess.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions on how to move forward.
