  • Heat

I had a SWM-16 installed (DTV choose this, I didn't need that many channels), and after a couple hours, it was really warm. The coax power supply cable was also VERY hot where the connector screws into the SWM. I measured the temp at 110 degrees.

DTV came back out put in a SWM-8 (I only need 6 channels). I put the temp probe on the SWM, closed the Leviton door (I have a built-in teleco wall unit for coax, phone punch-downs and Ethernet) and the heat is now at 117 degrees with the heat probe touching the SWM.

    Is this normal?
