Glad to hear it. The image you tried to copy from the original drive was likely corrupted, so you weren't getting good software on the new drive. -
After messing with this the whole day, I decided to give "InstantCake" a shot. Paid the 20 bucks, burned the CD, "baked" the drive and voila
TiVo is up and running on the 300 Gig drive

Rebooting loop after upgrade to 300Gig
Hi,
First of all, thanks for the great instructions and tools. Now to my problem
I have upgraded my 540040 to 300Gig following the instruction for upgrading to a single new drive. I have done everything the way it is explained. With the new drive in the TiVo, it starts up to the "Almost there..." screen and then reboots after a few more seconds. This happens in a loop.
Ideas?
