I have a Tivo Series 2 TCD140060 which I have read is frequently plagued by P/S problems. Several years ago I had to replace it using one from a used Tivo I bought on e-bay. A couple of days ago my Tivo began rebooting very frequently, sometimes every 5 minutes. Hoping that maybe my back-up power supply/surge protector was at fault, I unplugged the Tivo and plugged it into a different outlet. Now all four LEDs come on and I get a blank screen and nothing more. I have tried unplugging it again and wait a little bit before plugging it back in, but with the same results. Does this sound like a P/S problems or a motherboard issue? This Tivo has a lifetime subscription, so I really want to keep it running if at all possible.
