  • Toshiba sd-h400 won't start

I have two Sd-H400s and both don't do anything. They don't put out any signal.
I thought it was the hard drive and I changed it with another Tivo hard drive and still they don't do anything. The DVD light comes on and I can insert a DVD in and it says it is playing the DVD but i don't see any output.

Anyone know what's wrong with the units ? It is weird that both are doing exactly the same thing.

Are you sure it's not a cabling problem? Are you watching the wrong input of your TV? What exactly do you see on the screen?

TV says no input. I don't see anything from tivo on the screen.

If both are on the same TV, then you should try a different TV.
        Been here a long time . . .

oh thanks it worked on the other tv. Weird. I just bought the TV two days back. It is a samsung 42" plasma. Why wouldn't it work on that ? Some TVs don't recognize sd-h400 ?

It's got to be some cabling in there. It's SD, not HD, so maybe you have composite connected to component or something.
