Swapping hard drives?

I have a TCD 240080 with lifetime service the hard drive is starting to go.
I picked up a new Humax T800 for $40. Can I swap the hard drive from the T800 into the TCD 240080? Where is the service number stored on the tivo? Does changing the hard drive effect the lifetime subscription?

You can't do it....the software is different and you won't get any programming guide data when you dial in.
