I was wondering if there are any known issue with the Western Digital drive WD5000AAKB with a Series 2 dual tuner? It's the 16 meg cache model. I'm thinking of using it to upgrade my Tivo. Any issues?

The only reason I asked is that I read in a forum that an U.K. Tivo owner had a problem with this drive in a series 1 Tivo. He said that it was a firmware issue. I just wanted to see if there was any known issues with a series 2.Originally posted by WK-Michael View PostComment

Dvr-specific IDE drive are kinda of hard to find lately. Everyone is out of stock. I've been waiting 3 weeks now for Newegg and other sites to get more in stock. The ones that do have it in stock are charging a lot more then I'm willing to pay.Originally posted by WK-Michael View PostComment

Space concerns on the 130040 and 140060 units, but otherwise, they fit fine, and they have adhesive so that they don't slip at all.Been here a long time . . .Comment
