Tivo Series 2 Random Reboots

Hi:

My SERIES 2 Tivo is randomly rebooting - about once per day. Sometiems it's in the middle of recording, sometimes in the middle of viewing a pre-recorded show and sometimes it reboots even though I don't even have the TV turned on (i.e.: I'm not recording or viewing anything).

Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause?

It sounds like it might be a hard drive. See:

Also, if you have any USB devices plugged in, try unplugging them and restarting. If your unit works fine for a day or so without rebooting, then try and plug in your USB device. If it reboots after doing so, it sounds like a power supply problem.

Otherwise it could be a hard-drive failure just as WK-Jeff suggests.
