Which Tivo for me?

I am currently using a cable service to supply my TV channels. I do not want to pay their monthly DVR service fee for my two TV's.

What Tivo DVR would you suggest that will record TV channels from my cable provider? I would guess that I would need only 100 or so hours of storage capability.

The best unit we have for recording cable channels right now is the Roamio Pro with Lifetime service, and I'd pair that with one TiVo Mini for the second TV.

Been here a long time . . .

I would say you should go with a Roamio if you want something modern or if you want a nice DVR for the living room, I would go with a Series2 or Series3 HD with lifetime service so you don't have to pay crazy service fees to TiVo Inc.

Edit: You say that you need a TiVo that does your channels, well the Roamio and Series3 HD that I mentioned do have CableCARD slots, so you just ask your cable provider to get a CableCARD programed for your lineup and they can just slot it in
