  • Tivo output resolution

I have a Tivo Roamio which is connected to a Samsung UN46ES7100FXZA TV.

What is the best option for setting the Tivo output resolution, I assume one of the 1080p's (24 or 60 fps) or Auto?
I tried all 3 and tuning speed is about the same (all pretty slow!)

Yup - 1080p is the best. Probably 24 fps.
    Been here a long time . . .

      Thanks for your reply.
Trying to understand your reasoning, why the slower FPS?

It should have a more natural look and the TV won't do any upscaling or interpolation.

It wouldn't allow me to select 1080p 24fps by itself. can can only select that in conjunction with another option, so I choose 1080p24fps & 10780p 60fps.
Do you agree that is the best setting over "auto"

Yes - auto is typically best.

Im confused. I though you first recommended one of the 1080p settings and it sound liken now you are recommending auto

If auto is an option, it should sync to your TV at the highest resolution setting without interpolation.
