Have a BOLT 500GB. I've been reading through the forums trying to summarize for myself which drive I need to get.

First, it showed an overheating warning, after I turned it off for a while and turned it back on there was the Critical Error and to wait 3 hours message but after just several minutes of this it would just reboot and do it again and again. I tried the Kickstarter commands which the lights showed they were accepted but could never get it to do a drive test and now it just reboots after the Tivo Starting screen.

Tivo support sent me here. WK chat thinks it's just the drive.

I'll probably just go with another internal drive, I've not taken it apart yet so don't know what is in it. I know I can order a drive from WK but was wondering if an SSD was worth it or not and if I could get something off Amazon cheaper with free shipping.

I've read only specific drives work I think "CM" is what I saw that I need to look for. Space hasn't really been an issue so 500GB or 1TB is plenty big for me.
