Hi, just wondering if Weaknees has any first-hand experience dealing with LUX remotes used with TiVo devices running TE3 (OS vers. 20.*), especially A95 Mini's?
The TiVo support site (see link below) states that the LUX remote can only work in IR mode when used with any TiVo device running TE3:
A footnote on the Weaknees' "TiVo LUX Remote with Voice Features" product page ...
... seems to confirm the issue, but only scopes the "without a line of sight" conditions to the Roamio series .-- while stating that the remote is compatible with all TiVo's from Series 3 on.
All that said... The main mystery is why the LUX remote can't work in RF mode with an A95 Mini running TE3, when a VOX remote can.
The TiVo support site (see link below) states that the LUX remote can only work in IR mode when used with any TiVo device running TE3:
The TiVo LUX Remote"! supports IR and RF mode. RF mode is not supported if your TiVo device is running TiVo Experience 3 user interface. You can still use the TiVo LUX remote on devices with TiVo Experience 3 in IR mode.
*Roamio must be running TE4 (voice-enabled software) for the remote to function without a line of sight to the TiVo. ... This remote will work with Roamios without the dongle, but must have line-of-sight, in either TiVo Experience 3 or 4.
