replacing drive in My DVR Expander

I have three WD DVR Expanders and they have all pooped out. Is it possible to replace the drives in the DVR expanders? I am looking to salvage the external drives. Thanks...

Nope - unless you have the exact model drive in the Expander (which doesn't seem to be available outside the Expander product) then the TiVo won't remarry to the drive, at least for TiVo HD units. For TCD648250B, you can use a bare WD AV drive:

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Is there any way lengthen the life of these drives? They don't last long. The four I have used seem to burn up just after one year.
