Using TiVo Slide Pro Remote on TiVoHD

I recently bought (from weaknees thru Amazon) a TiVo side pro remote. I'm having difficulty using it with my TiVO HD (purchased in 2006 or 2007)

Can these devices work together?

If not, my older TiVo slide remote still control the TV and volume, just the TiVo functions aren't working. Is there a way I can re-sync it?

The new Slide Pro won't work with your TiVo HD. It's only for Premiere (with dongle) and newer.

Your old remote might be broken, but try holding down TiVo and Pause until the light comes on solidly, then press zero. See if that fixes it.
